  First, the location of this house is amazing! The views of the marsh are spectacular and the house provides multiple vantage points to take advantage of it. The ocean is nearby and there is a public beach access a short walk away. The neighborhood was very quiet. We had a lovely family vacation here.
  
  The wiring of the house is unusual. The oven seems to be on the same circuit as other things so you have to be mindful or the circuit will blow. It blew on us twice. Some of the lights on-off switches are not easily found and several lights did not work. None of the outside flood lights worked but there was nice lighting under the house. When we arrived, all, but one, of the smoke detectors had been removed and were laying in a pile in the kitchen with batteries removed. The rental company got someone out there that same evening to re-install them. A wooden picnic table was suspended with a board shoved under the top to hold it up. We discovered this the hard way as my grandson leaned on the top and everything on the table went crashing down. The rental company got someone out there to repair it within a day or two. I found the rental company to be very responsive to maintenance requests. I provided a list of items that needed attention so maybe everything was in great order by the time the next guest arrived.
  
  In summary, we loved the house but it could use a little TLC. We would rent it again so nothing majorly wrong, just little annoying things that should have been addressed before we got there.

  Several years we have been at this location but sadly it seems the owner is not upgrading structural things which will make us look at other options. Staff at office was as always wonderful to work with.

  Cherry Grove Realty is Always Very Nice, Johnsons Lair is our Favorite Rental with quiet friendly neighbors. We Just Wish we were Much Closer, Our 10 hour + Drive keeps us away for a Year or more .. Then we need to Get Away so much that the Ride down doesn't seem too bad .. The Ride Home Makes us think of Staying there forever !

  This house inside was great, very spacious! I loved the carport, it was able to park like 9 vehicles! A couple downfalls were we could not get the outside shower to work, not matter what knobs we turned on/off, it wouldn't work. Also, we could not get on the floating dock or pier, they were very shaky and underneath they were literally only connected by a barnacle stack. Neighbors floating docks were floating down the waterway . I think this was storm damage, but still should be fixed before allowing guests because that's a lawsuit waiting to happen. Other than those two issues, the house was beautiful and just what we needed. We've discussed booking this same house in the future, with hopes that the docks are fixed.

The water for the outside shower had been turned off due to the Hurricane Season, and could have been turned on immediately if you had expressed interest. The stationary and floating docks were inspected and deemed safe for use prior to your stay (after Hurricane Isaias).   Staff was wonderful, our stay was great! The rear deck can use some attention. Railing for steps was loose, as well as alot of peeling paint.
